Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Optometrist at our Fort McMurray location. The Optometrist will be responsible for performing complete eye exams, diagnosing, and treating eye conditions, and prescribing lenses and other optical aides. In addition, the Optometrist will be required to maintain accurate patient records and work collaboratively with our optometry team and staff.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry degree
- Licensed to practice optometry in Alberta.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of and proficiency in using optometry equipment and technology
- Experience in pediatric optometry is a plus
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Remuneration
We offer a very competitive percentage of paid gross billings of professional fees with:
- A minimum annual guarantee of $180K (min 5 days a week),
- Generous sign-on bonus, and
- Relocation cost allowance for out-of-town doctors.
